Recently we have been to Gujarat, India to visit the world’s tallest Statue names “ Statue of Unity” honouring the first deputy Prime Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who was the only independent activist who lead to formation of Indian Union by uniting princely 500 states.
“The Statue of Unity” is the colossal statue of Indian independent activists Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is also known as the Iron Man of India.
The statue is located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is 182 meters in height and located on the Narmada River.
Though we couldn’t visit the entire place which is around 4.9 acres and surrounded by 12 km artificial lake weir downstream on the Narmada river. It has tourist attractions places like Boating and Helicopter Ride, Valley of Flowers, Zoological Park and Safari, Cactus and Butterfly Garden and many more, which lead to more than 2.8 million visitors in 2018-19.
So I would suggest take a few days off and visit this place for much leisure and complete experience of the place.
Just few hours drive away from Mumbai, Gujarat is truly a very beautiful and progressive state of India.
