My Wildflower

He grew out of nowhere like an unplanted bud grows in a pot over my balcony

I watered it with love and caressed it daily with

perfect light and hope

and it grew and grew and grew

gradually into a beautiful wildflower

deep under my skin

rooting around my bones

I held it close to my heart

until one day my teacher said casually,

“wildflowers can grow anywhere easily

and to protect your mains,

sometimes no matter how beautiful they look

you need pluck them off”

And after years of feeding him over my dreams

during my last days I held

my wildflower closer then before and plucked it off,

loosening my soil and freeing my soul.

Good Morning

How are you doing? I am doing better. Back pain is less. And feeling good. Sending hugs and wishes to everyone known and unknown

Do let me know what you liked in this poem!

You words fill my heart with immense happiness and love and motivates me to write more…

Thankyou so much for reading it.

Have a great day!

Love, Jyoti V
